The most advanced technology has also touched the Austrian manufacturer’s slender fun bikes. Two-stroke engines have always been an icon for this brand (and not only for this one), a choice devoted to lightness and performance. The mechanical and constructional simplicity of these engines remains almost unchanged, but thanks to the electronic input, ecology and performance are now merged, without losing the typical and inimitable character of the ‘old school’ two-stroke.
The new KTM/Husqvarna, from the small 125cc to the top of the range 300cc, are now equipped with the TPI (Transfer Port Injection) injection system accompanied by an electronic exhaust valve and ride-mode, through which a switch-map can be implemented: soft and racing. As well as providing a fuller delivery at low revs, this intervention makes your work a lot more interesting and you’ll be the one to reap the big benefit.
