ECM Titanium Driver Update

29 october 2026

New ECM Titanium Drivers for VAG Temic DQ200 GEN2 TCU.

New calibration options for gear ratios, shift points, shift times and torque limiters.

With this ECM Titanium Driver update, you can now work more systematically on the main control strategies of DSG automatic transmissions paired with small and medium-displacement petrol and diesel engines from the VAG Group.

The maps are organised with real workshop applications in mind: each function is structured to make it easier to identify the relevant calibration areas and support TCU calibration work, whether following mechanical modifications or adapting transmission behaviour to the vehicle’s requirements.

Why does this update make a difference?

The new features allow direct intervention on:

Gear ratios:

The dedicated maps allow you to adapt the TCU calibration when mechanical components of the gearbox are replaced or modified while retaining the original control unit. By adjusting the gear ratios, you can align the TCU parameters with the new gearing to help prevent unwanted behaviour caused by a configuration that does not match the installed mechanical components.

Shift points:

The dedicated maps let you customise the points at which the transmission automatically shifts from one gear to another. You can therefore adapt the shift strategies to the engine characteristics and the vehicle’s operating requirements by adjusting gearbox behaviour in automatic mode.

Shift times:

The Driver provides specific maps for adjusting how quickly the transmission shifts from one gear to another. Modifying these parameters lets you customise shift times and adapt transmission response to the vehicle configuration.

Torque limiters:

The dedicated maps allow you to adjust the torque limits set in the TCU, which can affect the maximum torque the engine can deliver. By matching these values to the engine ECU calibration, you can prevent the transmission limiters from restricting the requested torque while respecting the gearbox’s mechanical limits.

Practical support for workshop operations

The new Drivers are already available in ECM Titanium.

You can now adapt the TCU calibration after modifications that change the gearing and customise shift management, coordinating transmission behaviour with engine characteristics and making precise, targeted adjustments quickly.
