KESS3 Protocols Releases

New OBD and BENCH protocols for Marelli PGXXX ECU – Piaggio and Vespa.

KESS3 expands its coverage dedicated to the scooter world and two-wheel urban mobility.

25.05.2026 – Upgrade 3.20

Work on Piaggio and Vespa platforms equipped with 125cc, 250cc and 300cc engines from 2007 to today, from the most popular models for everyday use to the most performance-oriented configurations in the range.

This new release introduces a dual operating mode on the Marelli PGXXX ECU. OBD mode allows you to work directly from the vehicle’s diagnostic port, with a fast and non-invasive workflow. BENCH mode adds direct access to the ECU, offering a complete solution for more structured operations.

In the workshop, this means being able to choose the most suitable mode according to the vehicle and the type of operation, with greater operational flexibility and control over engine management.

Optimize power delivery and make engine response more consistent with real driving conditions, from urban riding to extra-urban routes.
