Configuration Highlights:

1. Touring – 107 kW

Prioritizes comfort and control. Throttle response is smoother at low RPMs, with gentler torque. Perfect for relaxed touring, even with passenger and luggage. It’s smooth and precise, yet retains mid-range punch for overtaking and climbing.

2. Dynamic – 108kW

Boosts responsiveness between 3,000 and 6,500 rpm. Torque is fuller and immediate, with optimized engine braking for a sportier yet manageable ride. Ideal for mixed roads and faster stretches, maximizing the boxer engine’s potential.

3. Adventure – 108kW

Tailored for off-road, it offers balanced torque between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm for traction and stability on tough terrain. Throttle is highly precise, even in technical sections.

4. Full Performance – 109kW

Every parameter is maxed out. Air and fuel management is recalibrated to match mechanical mods (racing exhaust and filter), delivering smooth, powerful output across the rev range. Peak power increases by about 2 HP, but mid-range torque is significantly stronger, with over 160Nm below 6,000 rpm. Throttle is direct—built for riders who want instant power, always.

One more plus?

The Bosch ME17.2.42 BMS-O ECU on the R 1300 GS is widely used across BMW Motorrad—from adventure to naked, heritage to sport models, even maxi-scooters—since 2019 (Euro 4, 5, 5+).

Powergate enables complete customization on this ECU:

  • Optimized ignition and injection, with cam profile and wideband lambda support.
  • Active component control: intake flap, exhaust valve, cold-start strategies.
  • Dynamic riding: customizable ride-by-wire, predictive traction control, adjustable limiters.
  • Adaptive settings: maps for A2 license versions and different octane fuels.
