We often hear about direct injection, but what is it really about? Simple: a direct injection system in a gasoline engine injects fuel directly into the cylinders, using a high-pressure pump system. Even Hyundai, after a development of 4 years, introduced, in 2009, a series of engines with direct injection and variable valve timing (CVVT – Continously Variable Valve Timing) which it called “GDI” or Gasoline Direct Injection.
They are available in different variants, from 1.4l to 2.4l displacement, aspirated and turbocharged and over the years they have undergone various evolutions (from the introduction of variable valve timing, to the use of “Twin-Scroll” turbochargers or, in more recent versions, with variable duration of the intake valve phase).
Thanks to the measures adopted by the engineers, these motors offer the right mix of performance and efficiency!
But with KESS3 and ECM Titanium you can do much more: Read the file from the ECU with the new protocols, and, thanks to the ECM drivers, modify the calibration file to optimize performance and consumption according to the needs of your customers!
You will be able to work on many parameters, from torque management maps, to rev limiters, passing through maps of rail, advance and turbo pressure. Satisfy every customer by offering personalized work, in a simple, fast and effective way thanks to KESS3 and ECM Titanium!
