New BENCH protocol for Bosch MD1CP061 ECUs – Ford and Volkswagen.

With this update, KESS3 introduces BENCH connection for Bosch MD1CP061 ECUs installed in the latest-generation Ford Ranger and Volkswagen Amarok pick-ups from 2022 onwards, equipped with 3.0 V6 EcoBlue and TDI engines.

The new BENCH protocol provides access directly through the ECU connector, allowing you to read and write the ECU without opening it. This is particularly useful when the ECU has already been removed from the vehicle. It complements the existing OBD mode, offering greater operational flexibility.
