After the included 12x month suscription, you can renew and continue receiving the latest features and new supported applications that the KESS has to offer; if you choose not to renew, and you can continue to use the tool but will not receive the ongoing updates. Another advantage is a single renwal price, no matter how many protocol groups you have enabled!

- You do not need to return your old tool.
- Eligibility is for ALL owners of the tool....not just the original purchaser. Bought the tool second hand? You still get the value of upgrading
- It does not to be working: it must be original and not previously traded in (clones excluded). Condition of the tool does not impact or reduce your trade in value. ONLY genuine Alientech tools are eligible for trade in. Only active tools ar eligible. You cannot trade in the tool more than once.
- Enter the serial number of your KESSv2 or KTAG and the system immediately applies the discounted pricing.
All tools used for trade in will continue to work for 90 days to assist in transition. After 90 days, it is automatically deactivated.
If you own both KESSv2 and KTAG, you can trade in twice: one tool → one KESS3, and the other tool → a second KESS3 (even with different configurations).
You do not start from scratch.
Cables, boards, and accessories from the previous generation are compatible with KESS3.
