ECM Titanium Drivers update

Anyone who works with a Toyota Hilux knows: it’s not just a pick-up truck but a workmate. Robust, reliable, ready to get your hands dirty. The 2.8 litre engine (or 2.4 litre in the entry level versions) is synonymous with solidity: tireless and capable of tackling long journeys even on rough roads and with heavy loads without ever missing a beat.

On the other hand, there is the Toyota Innova: a minivan designed for urban transport, in tropical climates and on demanding routes. Under the bonnet we find the 2.8L’s little brother, the 2.4L 2GD-FTV, also powered by the third-generation Denso unit. Two solid foundations that can now count on new possibilities. Extremely different vehicles, but united by a common need: more performance, more responsiveness, more efficiency.

With the new ECM Titanium drivers, you no longer have any limits: whether it’s tuning to improve performance or optimisation to fit larger components, you now have the tools to do a complete job, even on the latest models.

Why does this update make a difference?

The new features introduced make extensive parameter customisation possible, including:

Fuel limiters: it is now possible to exploit the engine’s potential to the full even on the latest generation ECUs, which intervene with an additional strategy that cannot be managed using standard fuel management maps.

Injection correction: Fundamental map in preparations with turbocharger and oversized injectors that makes it possible to eliminate the automatic corrections applied by the ECU.

Torque required per driving mode: differentiates the pedal response according to the driving mode selected by the driver.

MAF correction: this map neutralises corrections that would tend to reduce pressure, guaranteeing optimum boost with increased turbines and in all conditions.

Up-shifting gear management: this map allows the shifting speed to be modified according to the driving style required, allowing shifts at lower revs to favour smoothness and low consumption, or at higher revs to guarantee maximum available boost at all times.
